And it happened to me.

I helped committee to purchase some items for an event but miscalculated & cheated due to inexperience, had to pay another $600 more. My fault I agreed.

Result?
Being discriminated behind my back, banished to be a timer.

Reality?
When they you need, try to squeeze you to max. Now try to kick you?!
Totally pissed.

Conclusion?
No wonder no one dare to volunteer to host event. With such committee how to! Must always be on tip top and constant changes!

Probably it's time to say ByeBye to this volunteering and try other volunteering.

Really have no words to say.

Condolences to my boss for the demise of her father...please RIP.

Held at Mount Vernon Sanctuary.
Huge family tree with total of hundred decedents. Most are Successful bosses, executives, professionals or inspiring next generation bosses to be.

I must say it was an impressive entrance with trail of hundred of wreaths and blankets condolences. Huge on-flowing guests.

But during the ceremony, I realized they are also normal human. When boss was crying, it makes my heart pour out to her.

It brings back memories of my grandparents. I miss them..

Went brisk walking with the usual..
This time we set foot to botanic gardens-the scenaric view of leisure

This was taken at the tanglin gate. Above is Mr Lee-my dad and below Anna!

It was a roller coaster for me. Why?
Cause I wasn't in tip top condition, to start off I was giddy and chest was tight.

After all the hide and seal, walking.. I finally pulled through the walk and ended with a "merlion" finale in the toilet.

Yes I puke!

This was after the merlion act. Felt better but still not best. I'm glad I finished the walk but damn I could have more fun if I hadn't been sick.

Parents? Relationships? Career? Kids? Your wants or your needs? Health?

Actually it kind of all boils down to one thing: money! Agree?

Yes. I'm awake cause my tiny brain is overflowing with statements like "I need money" and "how to earn money" and "what part time job can i find which only work on wed and Thursday 7-10pm?" and it just keeps me awake with overflowing emotion.

Then I brew a cup of tea, sit down, breath in and out slowly and started blogging! Or rather trying to vent it out and do a little self talk. So I can sleep.

Does it help? Kinda. Cause it diverts my brain to thinking something else.

Well whatever pressure you face..cry it out, scream it out, don't ever think of taking the stupid ways out. but look around you aren't facing the worse. There are many in worst situation then us.

As Chinese sayings says ＂船到桥头自然直", face it and smile through it, cry if you want. :)

All I can say not really what I thought it to be. Haha. I'm a demanding girl!

Between couple still have to learn where is their balance where they have this breathing space for each other.

It could be as simple as going out with own friends once in a while, or spending time alone, or just lying on the bed doing nothing for a day or slowing down.

Being able to Breath freely is an important key in a marriage I think. At least at this moment.

Remember whatever you do, breathe. deep breathing, think then do or say.

2(a). Take the fish - must have gravy on it

(b). Take the veg. - from the salad and wrap the fish in the veg.

its two person who feels for each other
can see living with each other in future

it just not that simple!

the differences in family teachings, behaviour
habits, principles which both have to reach a common ground
[these differences often lead to squabbles cos of different point of view]

my understanding now
and working towards it.
always listen to other partner
(don't insist on your way. you are like that doesn't mean he/she is like tat)
tolerate other partner habits which you don't like
(close both eyes la, habits takes 1 yr to form but 10yrs to change)
trust - the core of a relationship
(give he/she ample space - don't talk bad about his/her friends)
(agree on reasonable rules like 'wherever you go, sms me')
(if you cant even trust your partner, then its time to ask if you really like him/her)
don't assume. don't guess. ask if unsure
(this is the one of the hardest. human likes to jump to conclusion)

MBS VS RSW

that day we went to MBS & RSW. Don't know what it stands for? Then you confirm not singaporean. These two places are Singapore's newly added international standard shopping area and casino!!!

MBS = Marina Bay Sands & RSW = Resort World (yes, the one with universal studios)

Shall we review MBS first? yes.

Firstly, we parked at Marina Square first then we walked over cause we heard that the parking there was like S$8.00/hr or at least for the first hour. [os: **DAMN we should have drove in and parked there!**] pardon my language. it was a long walk [os: longer than we thought] and under the scorching sun..i rather pay the S$8.00...but again, we wouldn't have walk through the piece of master art-the twisting bridge. well. OH OH and there was an ERP gantry there, can you believe it! [os: realise that when we walked back out..lucky we didn't take the cab or drove] if you want to park your carpark eslewhere, Singapore Flyer carpark seems like a smarter choice.

well. basically MBS is not really fully opened. a lot of construction is still going on. [os: then why open first] I don't quite like MBS casino cause it was quite open or at least you can have a peek at what goes on inside. there was a lot of uncles and aunties standing at the entrance peeking in. BUT i think i will love the shopping!! haha. i already bought a bra from La Senza! a lot of shops ain't opened yet, i will be back...for shopping. OH the hotel looks cold and huge and bare. don't really like it. dear mention that we should stay in one night just to review on the hotel. i think otherwise. i rather spent it eslewhere.

Oki. next RSW. This time we decided to spend the S$8.00 cause we figure if we parked at Vivocity and took the train in..it would cost more! the carpark was quite huge but not exactly that many parking spaces. In RWS, if its your first time, grab a map! cause its quite confusing. well the 2nd level was built open air!!! stupid idea. it was damn hot loh. so we went tohard rock cafe for a drink that cost $18.00++ but you get to bring a glass back la. Most stuff are still in construction stage but there are still stuffs to walk!! personally i loved the walk way tunnel...

well..the universal studio. took a glimpse, well i wasn't so into it. prob the cost was half the reason why i wasn't so into it. dear wanted to apply for the annual pass so we inquired about the rates and terms. S$ 318/pax for a year pass - normal. which of 365 days, there are 256 days [200plus la] you can visit the park unlimited. there are block out days, which included most weekends being blocked out. if you wan all 365 days, you can take the star pass but it will cost you $1038!!!!! THE DOWNTURN to it..is that its non transferable!! they should allow at least have 3 names to that pass. and I don't think i will go to the park again and again. its not lie disney park or what loh!

Well, no universal but i spotted HERSEYs' world!! haha...check it out!

Dislike Polyclinic

OMG! i went hougang polyclinic at 11.15am today and was told the registration for the morning session was closed and the afternoon one starts at 1.30pm. So we went for brunch at hougang plaza then headed back there at about 12.30pm and my queue number already queued to 2549! thats like 100+ people in front of me!

then we waited waited waited. at registration counters the queue numbers jumped quite rapidly. so it was ok and acceptable waiting time. BUT! soon after getting my consultation room number. the nightmare started! i was sitting in front of the room 52 - dr chuah joo swan at 2pm. took my height weight and blood pressure. then 30 minues passed. the number didn't even jump! another 15 minutes passed..2.45pm now! 3 numbers passed-2497. i thought the next would be me or very soon. BUT it went back to 2407!! then i waited in the horredous weather. the place where i was sitting had nno fan and heated up like a baking oven. 3.10pm i was about to storm out of the place. i msged dear. he was already at the pharmacy! Throughout the waiting time..i wanted to go toilet or buy sweets, but din't cos afraid i will missed my turn and inturn have to wait again.

3.20pm queue number at 2519...there was no way it will jump to 2549...i decided not to wait.

OMG. lucky mine was constipation and not cramps or stomach pain!! how can one person feeling so unwell bear to wait for such long consultation time!

i went to a private clinic (with air-con) and it was fast and i'm out of there with my medicine within 20mins!

white dog cafe @ vivocity. mango mirror cake (LOVE IT!). potato wedges. hot english breakfast tea. what a nice afternoon tea with dear. looking out the sea and upon resort world.

dinner @ iluma, bugis. cheeky chocolates. hot chocolate. tiger prawn aglio olio. mushroom soup. OH OH i saw ju and her bf there too! *smile* we had a small chat.

Charity Shopping

i hope more shops will take "Rubi/Cotton On" vision to help the less fortunate. It started with a bottle of mineral water (S$1.50) and now they have these cute rubber wristlets for only a dollar each! sincerely hope every shopper will get at least one to help the less fortunate. and of cos the retail company to really pass every cents we donate to the less fortunate.

WEDDING UPDATES

Finally we confirmed SGCC with a deposit on 17th April 2010 during their wedding show, thou the show was poorly done.

SGCC Kensington Ballroom interior was designed to be like a hotel ballroom. Designer incorporated the warm tones and created a rich, grand and cosy feel within the ballroom. Golden Brown with golden undercover curtains hangs in royalty style from ceiling to ground. three prominent chandeliers with orangey tints, glitters like diamonds from the middle of the room. Mirrors are used to elongate the room further. Thou ceilings not as high as Riz Carlton or Shangri-La Island ballroom, it is slightly higher than normal hotel ballrooms. They have installed BOSE speakers for a high state of audio for your ears. They have two small mini bridal rooms nicely decorated with a clean linear style. Toilets are situated close by.

One thing I'm concerned with, is the lighting at the stage area. It appeared to be too dark and they do not have the martins moving color lights. (may need to have extra lightings) well closer to date will go down with shu and garlic to decide on the layout etc...

NOW I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT COLOR THEME TO HAVE SINCE NOW THE BALLROOM IS ALL WARM AND BROWN TONES. I STILL WANT PINK cos it makes one looks sweet like apple!!!

GOOD OL'D SCH DAYS

well, not my school, haven been back since i left.

4th april 2010 . we woke up and sent his mum to work (she is sick-sore throt) then we met up with my family to have a farewell lunch with WHENG (our maid). she will be leaving to the new employer's house on monday. well i still get to see her every sunday, so not so bad and sad. we went vivo to eat jpot-steamboat!

after that we parted and both of us went to arts house to view the painting exhibition on national icon LKY by artist ONG HUI HAR. it was the last day.

and a relaxing tea time at the earshot cafe on the ground level.

AHHH..these two days are so relaxing and slow. i'm lovin' it!

finally i'm visiting these places!!! we are organizing a trip to here for our residents thus here we are to recee and plan the routes. my company for the day....

we started out from ~~hougang~~...no lah, we walked to buangkok MRT and took NEL down to harbourfront. officially started from bottom of mount faber up. but after the up process, we decided the residents to start from mount faber (so the bus will drive us up).

then we headed towards henderson waves.

then to the zigzag bridges

then to the alexander arch

then hort park. our zena and nature lover decided that the residents will end here. haha.

and then we ended up at kent ridge, rested cleaned up toilet break and down to the bottom to meet our chairman to proceed to lunch. OVERALL, it was an easy walk...if you compared to the other trail - macritche to bukit timah.

in the end i had my rewards for gd hard work done!!

27th March 2010 . met up with garlic and beng to go for a session of KTV. omg, it was ages since i went ages and i think after that day i'm hooked again! haha. well, photos for your view.

Basically we went to serangoon garden country club - yum cha. food was great just a bit ex. i mean hor fun for $12?? thou serving for abt 5 small bowls. then we went to hougang plaza KTV to shout our throats till no voice..haha.

woah. it was like moments ago that her bf, mike proposed to her and now she had her ROM done in the prettiest and best way ever. *envy envy* see all details at her blog.

it was mafia themed. so preppy and cool. i simply loved her whole image for the day. pomp pomp dress with cleavage, blond hair tie in the nice sophisticated manner and her makeup kills all traditional chinese wedding look! PRETTY!

well, why chinese weddings are so boring... can't they be more fun like the western.

"something new something old" is what i would like my wedding to achieve and look. i really want to hire a wedding planner, but my BM and Groom says nope, lets do it on our own. I know i can do it as a planner but now i''m the bride...its hard you know. haha. nevertheless, thanks BM for willing to help out.

Punggol South GRC CNY Dinner 2010

This year the event was held at hougang sec sch. everything was disaster! the table was small. like 3 ft wide only for 10 pple. the decoration was pathetic. the backdrop was bad. the food serving was bad-so little! the audio system was bad. the performance was bad. only the servers was alright. and the company (my table) was good. otherwise it was a rather bad event.

Premarital Screening - Updates!

Well, this morning 9am appointment for the checkup, today only draw 3 tubes of blood, half bottle urine (bottle abt 8cm) and ECG test and eye check (something like heart test) & doctor (heng is lady doctor!) will check your breast for lumps and your stomach area, your family medical history and your BMI. the rest must wait for the blood and urine. Total cost SGD 141.75. For me additional SGD 1.75 for carpark.

ARH..pocket broke le.

well, i hate the urine part. cause how can you control, now say want urine can urine one meh. somemore no water dispenser in the clinic loh-but nurse helpful to give me one cup when i asked for it. Oh, did i tell you i went raffles medical @ compass point *heehee*. DEN no private toilet. have to go to the public one. lucky thing is quite near and no much people yet cos shopping centre opens at 11am.

Well, now wait 5-7 working days for result loh. *cross fingers*

MAKEUP 1 - TRIAL & ERROR

'In this world there are no ugly women, only lazy women.' (in chinese la), i totally agree this proverb/sentence - recently been quite amazed by makeup and hairstyle.

inspired by the beauty bloggers (like chessie and xiaxue) & the fact that japanese girls and taiwan girls look darn pretty!! But I don't want to be those girls who have two looks:- before & after. So my take on making yourself look good? MODERATE & small changes at a time!

1. If you just simply hate makeup? simple. contact lens to the rescue!!

color contact lenses are the fastest and easiest to change your look instantly! Try to get disposable soft lens. I'm using freshlook (yang cheng lin one!!) you can get a pair of trial one-day lenses for only SGD 15! *OH and remember, don't overuse. you only have a pair of eyes!*

2. Simple Makeup? I love how just a falsie eyelash can brighten your look.

Here goes. Your list to create a simple look: - falsie eyelash (get the better ones, they are more natural-get @ sasa) & glue (use this lashgrip brand, its good and can be easily removed) Plus eyeliner (i beginner so use pencil-i use revlon) & eyebrow (compressed powder form better-try anna sui, i using it)! All products you can get at sasa and watsons and departmental stores.

Before you start applying your falsie, prep your face with concealer, BB cream and/or foundation. Then you line your upper eyes with eyeliner, a thicker line for more dramatic look.

(before) no makeup at all. See i look listless right. only color contact lenses

Apply a thin layer of glue to the falsie (a bit more on the two ends) then wait 10secs for the glue to be tacky then hold the middle of the falsie 45 degree upwards, apply the falsie down as near as possible to your own lashes. adjust and hold for 30 secs. still no idea? simply view the below video! *smile*

*Ta da~* can see difference?? haha

after that you can go ahead and re-line your upper lashes and also line your lower lash (this part i still learning..cos its not easy to not look like a panda.. =x) And then draw your eyebrows! and add blusher! Her Glass Slipper Charity Drive 2010

In the spirit of giving this festive season, Her Glass Slipper will be raising funds for children with chronic illnesses through our shoe donation campaign. Every cent raised through the resale of these shoes will be given directly to The Kidz Horizon Appeal.

Please help them in this meaningful cause.

The Kidz Horizon Appeal is a charitable organization that attends to children who are suffering from chronic or terminal illnesses. The Appeal supports children in Singapore with AIDS/HIV. Each child requires between $800-1,800 per month for medication and treatment. Each year some S$200,000 is extended to these children for HIV medication alone. In addition, an average of 17 cancer stricken children receive assistance from KHA annually. Each child requires$3,000-25,000 for therapy.

"HTD" - Mask Pampering Session 1

HTD = how to do series

finally, time for mask pampering session

1st step, cleanse your face with your preferred cleanser (mine is lOreal hydrafresh cleanser) then use either soft towel or tissue to pat dry your face.

2nd step, facial mask with deep pore cleansing ability. (mine is thebodyshop ionic clay mask) after 30 minutes wash off with warm water. pat with soft towel.

apply a thick layer of the mask..don't kiam siak

3rd step, use cotton pads to pat toner on your face (mine is lOreal hydrafresh toner) it helps to cleanse the remaining dirt and also to close the pores.
last but not least, apply your preferred moisturizer!!! (mine is thebodyshop vitamin E moisture) i like this cause of its nice smelling scent and non-oiliness and it get absorbs easily...OH YAH! even if your skin is oily, you DO still need moisturizer.

NOW skin nice and perky. *smile*

today we will be going toJatuchak 2hours followed by the Asian City den its Big C den eat then PACK & SLEEP!!! everyday sleep at 2-3am, wake up 730-8am...wau..worst then in singapore..haha the two guys totally got eye bags loh.

Asian City... a city of ruins..similar to Angkor Wat but cheaper entrance fee..heehee. pictures pictures pictures..lazy to write le.

after filling our stomach, we head up to eleana's room for discussion of next year workplan!!

Meanwhile, me and the guys decided to head to the nearby baiyoke sky hotel. michael and my dad went to get their suit measured while me and robin went to check out tonight's dinner!! this hotel is NICE NICE NICE!!! loads of variety in food too! *why din we stay here??* bought our dinner coupons and then its meet up with the rest and have a small lunch. after that we went to platinum mall (the wholesale heaven!) at least 6 levels full of shops...crazy place.

SG no way close to this loh. some tycoon should read this and adopt this price and service and food fare and open one in singapore man. sure got packs of people flock there one. why? cos singaporeans kiasu and cheapo ma. well after that we went down to the roads where it transform into a night market. i bought two pretty jigsaw lamps!! must DIY. so cool.
