CLEO my first

Not really my first time
In fashion show
BUT
I always have been backstage
Part of the team
SO
It was first sitting in the audience seat. It was nice and exciting.
ヾ(@⌒ー⌒@)ノ
Thank you CLEO!

Yes
I brought one of my colleague
To attend CLEO 's 2nd running
Runway today
.
.

Well we aint exactly on time
It was my bad.
I was the reason we arrived in late
as I had to go all the way
Back to our office in changi
Then rush down orchard to be stuck
In the super horrible traffic

Jam

Jam

Everywhere was jam!

Nevertheless we made it in!
Wau phew.

I spotted coffee booths! Photo booths etc. Many pretties gals! Metrosexual men too! Very soon we were asked to take our seats.

Look at the crowd

And we had the large snippers too!

And of cos the main highlight
The show

Erm
Last year standard and this year is quite a drop. Is it because they are unpolished gems?

Personally me and my colleague find the first girl who strut her stuff has the model feel in her whereas the rest either strut their long legs weirdly or their faces look stone. Nervous is written all over their faces.

But I must salute their courage to chase and live their dreams. :)

Before you know it
It's coming to an end

The grand finale!

快乐时光确实短
Hope to be able to attend
More fashion shows

MORE "P" at Work

Productivity with the huge P
It is known that companies wants to get the most from their employees
"ALLWAYS".
Paid 1 man's salary but expects 10 mans' job productivity?
sounds applicable to you?

Productivity plays a pivotal role in whether you keep your job.
and most ALL bosses nowadays are totally focused on productivity
so if you want increase of figure in paycheck, you have to increase your productivity

I chance upon an article on how we can be MORE productive at work
and I picked three main points which I'm eager to give it a test run
here it is:
.
.

TAKE BREAKs
Image Detail

It's tempting just to sit at your desk all day
to finish the work
but you'll find yourself far less energized.

Get your butt up every two hours (some sort) for a simple five-minute walk
It suppose said to help the blood flow and in turn clear your head to
enable you to restart your work with a fresh approach.

BUT  "Just try to keep your breaks to five minutes!"

I read of some American companies
who allows their employees to take breaks in between work
to play Wii/Xbox, drink espressos, etc
(they set up this relax corner for them IN company premises!)

Will this even happen in Singapore??

PRIORITIZE

Image Detail

You need to ask yourself
Am I working on the most important thing I can be working on?
You need to ensure you're working on things that are important to the company
The more important your work is, the more valuable you are as an employee.

I know
this is the hard part

sometimes that one important work just takes up the whole day
which ends up no time for the rest

Well
Lets just try our very best to be the
OCTOPUS
your boss wish we were.

COUNTER INTERRUPTIONS
Image Detail

You must have a strategy for dealing with interruptions.

If a colleague comes in and asks for a minute, you can say,
"Not right now. Send me an email, and we'll set up some time."
BUT Don't ever try it with your boss.

Let's try together these three points and see if it does help.

Triumph 'ICE' Cool Bras

You got to be kidding me

Triumph are known traditionally for coming up with novelty invention (s),
Even thou they were never made available for public sale
but this is craze and does not seem to be in place with
the message they intend to relay

A bra with built-in ice packs, a wind chime and a sprig of mint promises to keep women cool this summer
Photo from Yahoo! Singapore
It is not even nice to look at!
it just look hilarious and dumb right silly
.
.
Even this looks better aesthetically
.
.
 or
this
.
.
Don't you agree?

Wonder what is in the mind of this designer.
wierd

Little May Bangkok 2012

Literally
Unplanned trip
Day 1

Last min Changed gate
Met with Scary turbulence
Practically flew up inches away from the seat!
Then wait wait
And wait
for the other group of tourist
who was late for 45mins!
They didn't even bother to apologise
*humph*

What no rooms in pre-booked hotel?! Alternative a freaking quiet large hotel it was clean and along the road down platinum mall so it was not that bad.
We paid our visit to the four-faced buddha at erawan shine,
One of Bangkok main attraction.

Then a little shopping for gifts
Day 2

It was shopping
Platinum mall
Wore this top for Berksha and coloured skirt for the day.
After a day of strutting through the maze of platinum.
I know I look tired
I'm VERY tired
Resting our legs and Erm..
"tummy"
@ sip a coffee
(free wifi!)
Day 3

Happy anniversary dear.
We have passed our 1st year tolerating each other
*claps*

We had macs for breakfast then headed to erawan shrine and short shopping around the vincity.
Went back hotel and Prep myself for the cruise dinner!
Hope we are able to last
And enjoy life like them

Thanks for the wonderful night.
Can I get a job where I can travel around experiencing culture and shopping?!

Technology ERA

We are now in a
Educated, IT Advanced
world.

Is it good?

Part of me feel it is great!
But the other half is saying NO!
We are losing our human touches and personal relationship.

Parents nowadays relay on their gadgets to convince their toddlers to eat their meals.
.
.
Doesn't seem right.

Then again we have more youths engrossed in computer gaming.

Of cos
I m one of the IT slave.
I can't live without my phone
I feel lost and helpless
I admit.

With more advanced robots created. More virtual technology explored. Probably the scene in 'matrix' will even be realised in the future?
.
.
But definitely not in my era.
Just something to think about.
Are we moving too fast?
And destroying ourself in the process?

Brand Links

I realise there are more and more newbies
similar webshops that promotes brands
through periodic sale and at a discounted retail rates
and also great fashion advice, magazine style!

Wonder where or how they get these discounts?
Outlets?
Rejected goods?
hmm.

but for sure
most comes good quality
and a lot or alightly cheaper
.
.
but please do your tight calculation
as some shipping may just lead your bargin buys
to expensive buys.
.
.

Here's
One of my favourites
(great marketing, branding)

then you have
(I love that they provide Great Fashion Pick Outs by their own stylist!)
